I have recently been to the Oral Kiely exhibition in Winchester, I found this exhibition really interesting looking at all the different patterns and pieces that she had created. I found it particularly interesting that she started off with making hats but realised that not all women wore hats so changed her focus to bag which where a lot more popular. I also realized while at this exhibition that there are some really strong links between Orla Kiely’s work and Mary Quant which I really liked.
