The Victoria and Albert museum

Hello everyone,

so, a couple of weeks ago I went on a trip, with college, to the V and A museum. At the museum we were pacifically looking at two areas of the museum, the fashion through time gallery and the fashioned from nature exhibit.

We first looked at the fashion through time gallery which basically took you through how fashion has changed from 1750 to present day. I found this exhibit really interesting as you got to see how the fashion had changed through the years and how some trends we have today are influenced by past fashion. Here are some of my favourite pieces from this exhibit.

The next area we looked at in the V and A museum was a fashioned from nature exhibit. in the exhibit it showed how nature had been used through history to inspire and create garments. It also showed how companies and artists were trying to use fashion to spread messages about climate change and tried to reduce the effects of fashion on nature and the environment. There were lots of different artists work being shown in this exhibit including Vivienne Westwood and Bruno Pieters. Here are some of the things that were shown in this exhibit.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have been up to and thank you for reading
