Hello everyone,
so I thought I would share some of my work I have done in my textiles sketchbook over the first couple of weeks, this is work that we did in class and at home for homework and most of it is what our teacher told us to do. At the beginning we were looking at lines and ways of creating lines.
I have used ink and bleach to make marks on the page. Before I did this I was not sure how the bleach would react with the ink but I do really like how it looks and has turned out. I have also used wax which acts as a barrier to the ink on the page. I have experimented with the different ways I could apply the ink and bleach. I really like how these have turned out as I like how the bleach reacts and the different effects and marks I have used.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my work and thank you for reading.

so I thought I would share some of my work I have done in my textiles sketchbook over the first couple of weeks, this is work that we did in class and at home for homework and most of it is what our teacher told us to do. At the beginning we were looking at lines and ways of creating lines.
Here I have looked at at how I can create lines on fabric using stitch, I have used free machine embroidery to sew the lines onto black and white fabric using contrasting thread.
I have also used the ink and bleach on fabric, which I think has worked very well. The bleach acted slightly differently as it bled into the fabric however I do really like this affect.
Here I have made a collage of different papers to create lines, I really love how this collage looks as I love how many different papers and colours I have used and how the different lines overlap with each other. I also love how I have cut some lines into the page creating gaps and I have payed lines over the gaps that line up with the page.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my work and thank you for reading.
